Maurice Dwek, Chairman

Maurice Dwek started trading as a distributor of certain ICI products in 1963. He was chairman and co-founded Dwek Group plc in 1963, a company which was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1973. In 1988 Dwek Group plc had a turnover of £38 million and made profits before tax of £4.1 million and was sold to a management buy-out team. In 1989, he became chairman of Arlen plc (electronics) and Owen & Robinson plc (sports footwear, retailing and jewellery shops). He resigned as chairman of both companies in 1992, but was re-appointed as chairman of Owen & Robinson plc in May 1996. This was in order to rescue the business from administration by arranging a placing open offer, and re-listing the company on the Official List of the London Stock Exchange. He retired from the board of Owen and Robinson plc in September 1996 in order to concentrate on Newmark where he is Chairman, having been appointed in May 1997.

 Marie-Claire Dwek, CEO

Marie-Claire was appointed as CEO of Newmark Security in 2013 following her strong experience in the electronic security industry, where she was a Marketing Director for four years. She gained valuable experience in property investment and management for Reuben Brothers/Motcomb Estates.

Her ambitious vision for the future of Newmark and her proactive stance towards the company’s medium to long-term plans will ensure that Newmark remains an agile and adaptable business.

Brian Beecraft, Group Finance Director

Brian has expertise in finance dating back to 1973 when he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He joined United Transport International plc in 1985 and in just five years, established himself as the Group Financial Controller of BET plc and for four years had responsibility for the group’s finances and accounts. Brian subsequently worked as a freelance financial consultant before joining the board of Newmark Security plc in 1998 as Group Finance Director.

Michel Rapoport, Non-Executive Director

Michel Rapoport was previously President and Chief Executive of Mosler Inc., a manufacturer and integrator of security systems for banking, industrial and commercial organisations. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Pitney Bowes International and Chairman of Pitney Bowes France. He joined the Newmark Board in January 2001.

 Robert Waddington, Non-Executive Director

Robert is a chartered accountant who has worked for many years in investment banking and has experience of the betting and gaming, property investment and engineering industries through is past non-executive directorships.
